These maps are listed by area. If there is more than one trail on a map, then after the map title there will be a list of those trails.   If you would like downloadable track and waypoint GPX files for your GPS that correspond with our maps then join our Member Site. Our Moab GPX files only contain the waypoints (no tracks) that are associated with our maps. Mountain Man members get to download a number of GPX files for free. Check it out TODAY!

San Juan ATV Safari Maps

Comb WashAbajo Mountain Trails: This map covers all the designated trails on the Abajo Mountains just west of Monticello, Utah. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant.  One of the main trails is the Shay Ridge Trail.  This trail passes through gamble oak, aspen, and alpine forests.  Traveling along this trail will take you past Foy lake and to an elevation of about 11000 feet. Breath taking views will be experienced throughout the trip.  Other trails on this map include Camp Jackson, Wagon Wheel, and Pipeline trails.  This trail is rated:Easy to Moderate  Shay Ridge ATV Trail Video

Arch Canyon Trail: This map covers the trail from South Cottonwood Canyon, through the old highway 95 dugway, and up Arch Canyon. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. This trail is located just west of Blanding, Utah. The Arch Canyon Trail is amazing with scenic views, archaeological sites, and Cathedral Arch. The distance on this trail varies depending on where you start, but the Arch Canyon section is about 16 miles round trip. This trail is rated: Easy to Moderate

Blanding Bulldog Trail: This map covers the Blanding Bulldog Trail. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. The Blanding Bulldog trail starts just north of Blanding, Utah. The trail runs from an elevation of about 6000 feet to 8500 feet. The trail traverses through several vegetative types including sagebrush, pinion and juniper woodlands, gamble oak and alpine forests. This trail would be a good family ride. Trail Rating: Moderate

Behind The Rocks: Our "Moab Jeep Trails Southeast" map covers the Behind the Rocks Trail and is also associated with Charles Wells's Book, "GUIDE TO Moab, UT Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails". This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant.This area is a great area for those that like some challenge when riding their ATV's. This trail will take you over slick rock and sandy terrain. Caution should be used on several of the terrain features along this trail. This trail is rated: Difficult 

Bridger Jack Trail: This map covers the Bridger Jack Trail and Salt Creek overlook. The Bridger Jack Trail starts just off of Highway 211 near the Dugout Ranch in Indian Creek. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. This trail travels through the red rock country and gives you spectacular scenic views of the canyons and the Six Shooters. There are also archaeological sites along this trail. One of the sections of the Bridger Jack Trail will take you to the Salt Creek Canyon overlook. Trail Rating: Easy to Moderate

Canyonlands Overlook Trail: This map covers the Canyonlands Overlook area. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. The main road is paved from Highway 191 to the overlook. At the Overlook you will find picnic tables and restrooms. There are a number of side roads that you can travel to achieve even more scenic views of Canyonlands and Indian Creek. After visiting the Canyonlands Overlook continue northwest and visit Anticline Overlook. The drive out to Anticline Overlook and Wine Glass Arch would make for a great ATV ride. This trail is rated: Easy 

Falls Missile Trail: This map covers the Falls Missile Trail and part of the Lockhart Basin Trail. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. Falls Missile Trail received its name because of the falls on lower Indian Creek, and a spent booster rocket that was launched from Green River, Utah and crashed to the earth not far from the falls. The trail travels past the old booster rocket and traverses slick rock and sandy terrain.  This trail is rated: Moderate to Difficult 

Hook & Ladder Trail: This map covers the Hook & Ladder Trail system. This is one of the most detailed topographic trail maps of the area. This map is waterproof and tear resistant. The Hook & Ladder area is a complex of trails that have been numbered. Our map reflects this numbering system to make it easier for the user to navigate. This trail will give you some spectacular scenic views of the red rock formations, and Wilson Arch. This trail system is rated with all three classifications, but the overall rating would be Moderate to Difficult.

Jacob's Chair Trail: This map covers the Jacob's Chair Trail. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. This trail starts just off of Highway 95 and makes a scenic loop around Jacobs Chair, a prominent geologic feature of the Windgate Sandstone in western San Juan County. This trail is rated: Moderate to Difficult

John's Canyon & The Goosenecks: This map covers John's Canyon Trail and Goosenecks State Park. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. The trail begins near Gooseneck State Park which overlooks the San Juan River. The trail then runs along a bench above the San Juan River through Glenn Canyon National Recreation Area for a short distance and then goes up scenic John's Canyon. You may be able to spot pre-historic Indian ruins and rock art. This trail is rated: Easy

La Sal Pass: This map covers the La Sal Pass trail. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. The La Sal Mountains are located east of Moab, Utah about 15 miles. The La Sal Mountains include the highest peak on the Colorado Plateau, Mt. Peale 12,721 feet. These maps provide you with the designated trails on and around the magnificent La Sal Mountains. These are late spring, summer, and early fall trails. Be sure to check weather conditions before riding these trails.

Monticello Bulldog Trail: This map covers the Monticello Bulldog Trail. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. The Monticello Bulldog Trail starts just west of Monticello, Utah. The trail runs from an elevation of about 7000 feet to 8500 feet. The trail traverses through several vegetative types including sagebrush, pinion and juniper woodlands, gamble oak and alpine forests. This trail will be a good family ride. Trail Rating: Moderate

North Long Point Trail: This map covers the North Long Point Trail and Davis Pocket. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. This trail varies from county roads to strictly two track ATV trails. The scenic views of Beef Basin, Canyonlands, Davis Canyon, Dark Canyon, and the Seven Sisters is out of this world. This trail is rated: Moderate to Difficult

Piute Pass Trail: This map covers all of the Piute Pass Trail on one map.  This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. The trail presents some of the most scenic vistas in the county including Jacobs Chair, White Canyon, the Henry Mountains, Good Hope Bay, and Lake Powell if it is high enough. This trail is rated: Easy to Moderate

River House Ruin Trail (GPX): This map covers the River House Ruin Trail from Highway 163 to the Ruin.  This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. This trail was part of the Hole in The Rock Trail. Along this ride you will see the remains of the historic Barton Trading Post, San Juan Hill, and the magnificent River House Ruin. The ride over the hill is prohibited, but this is still a fantastic ride. This trail is rated: Easy 

South Cottonwood & Elk Ridge Trail: This map covers the Elk Ridge & South Cottonwood Trail. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. This trail travels from South Cottonwood Canyon, through Whiskers Draw, to Elk Ridge. On Elk Ridge you will travel across spectacular North Notch which separates Dark Canyon and North Notch Canyon.  Once you’re through the notch you may visit North Notch Spring before tying into the ATV trail that will take you off North Elk and back to South Cottonwood. This section of the trail is steep and travels through a large stand of Ponderosa Pine which is magnificent. This trail takes you from the desert to the high country and back to the desert.  This is a longer ride, but packed with scenic views, archaeological sites, and historical mining sites. Tables of The Sun Trail: This map covers the Tables of the Sun Trail. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant. This trail is highly scenic with views of Cedar Mesa, Fry Canyon, and Red Canyon. You will also enjoy seeing several archaeological sites, and an Indian Rock Art panel. The trail system is made up of a number of both improved and unimproved county roads. This trail is rated: Easy  View Trail Video

Trout Springs: This map covers the Trout Water Springs Trail. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant.This trail is located between the Canyonlands Overlook and Anticline Overlook areas. This area would be a great side trip while visiting the above overlooks. This trail is rated; Easy to Moderate

Woodenshoe OHV Trail: This map covers the Woodenshoe Trail. This detailed topographic map is waterproof and tear resistant.  This trail will take you by Natural Bridges National Monument, onto Deer Flat, and around the shoe and the heel of Woodenshoe. This trail has many majestic views of red rock canyons, Cedar Mesa, the Bears Ears, and the Henry Mountains. You will travel through gamble oak, Juniper, and pinion pine environments. There are many historical features along this trail. This trail is rated: Easy to Moderate

San Juan Safari Trails Wall Map Laminated: This map covers all the San Juan ATV Safari Trails. This map was produced as a planning map on a 1:250,000 scale topographical base. This map is laminated, which allows you to use a dry erase marker on the map. This map was not developed as a detailed navigation map.

Recapture Canyon ATV Trail (GPX): This map covers the north end of the Recapture Canyon Trail. This trail is full of prehistory and recent history. The canyon has had a trail in it from the first time native peoples entered the four-corners area. This canyon was used by Spanish explorers and the anglo immigrants that came into the area in the 1800's. This is a fantastic trail with more than enough to see. NOTE: On September 13, 2007 the Monticello BLM Field Office temporarily closed Recapture Canyon to all OHV use under 43 CFR 8341.2. The Recapture Map can still be used for hiking the canyon.

Lake Powell Area

Hole in the Rock (1:100 Scale) [Hole in the Rock North  Hole in the Rock South (1:30,000 scale) This detailed set is great for driving the Hole in The Rock Trail. After purchasing and receiving the maps there will be a web address on the maps that will take you to where you can download all the waypoints associated with these maps. Load them on your GPS and your ready to go. The Hole in the Rock Trail from the Cal Black Airport to Cottonwood Canyon is slow going and rough, but a very enjoyable trail. This is a two day trip averaging eight hours one way. You will be in one of the remotest areas of Southeastern Utah.  Be sure to take plenty of gas, water, food, and to check the weather conditions before setting out on this adventure.  The Hole in the Rock North map has the newly designated trail section on it that ties into the Hole in the Rock trail off of Nokai Dome. You won't find this new trail section on any other commercial map.  View Trail Video
