WE ARE HERE TO ASSIST OUR MEMBER'S IN PLANNING THEIR NEXT ADVENTURE

Here at Off The Beaten Path Maps we have over thirty years of backcountry experience.  Seventeen of those years we have been operating in the backcountry of southeastern Utah.  Our Adventure Planning Center provides our Members with information that will aid them in planning a safe trip to southeastern Utah.  

The knowledge and backcountry data that we have collected over the years is invaluable information about canyon accesses, water sources, roads, trails, and more.  We will use this knowledge to help our member's plan a safe adventure. We can also provide our members with assistance in the following areas; shuttle rides, food, water, and/or gas resupplies.  These services have additional fees.

We are available to assist our members with planning all facets of their next adventure to southeastern Utah from lodging recommendations to guided ATV tours, San Juan River Float Trips, driving tours, and more.  Or, we can simply supply you with relevant information and materials to outfit your own adventure.  Over the years, we have discovered some very special places for outdoor adventure in and around southeastern Utah that we would like to share with you so give us a call. 

Self guided excursions

For those who are more self sufficient, seeking more solitude and individuality in their adventure, let us help you "get out and stay out".  Allow us to provide you with shuttle service, ATV trail maps, and general trip planning that will support your fun and help simplify your vacation. Our coverage area for adventure encompasses southeastern Utah (Monticello, Blanding, Bluff, and Lake Powell areas). One call will open the door to canyon country fun.

Shuttle service

Our shuttle service is combined with a local company that specializes in moving equipment, people and even your vehicle to a designated ending point of your adventure. We can also set up shuttle service to and from the Cortez, Colorado Airport or the Moab, Utah Airport. 

Equipment rental

Need to rent ATV's give us a call and we will put you in contact with a local ATV rental and tour company that we trust and work with on a daily bases. We can even make the arrangements for you if you like.  Just call us 1-435-587-2886 

Guide service

Yes, we can send you a map, tell you where the best riding / hiking spots are, where the scenic views are, and give suggestions to make your adventure more pleasing, OR we can set you up with a Guide that knows the area.  We work closely with several tour companies that will get you to the most beautiful and exciting hidden treasures in our area. Call us about rates and how to secure your professional guides before your next adventure.

Resupplies Services 

Our coverage area boundaries for resupplies are Interstate 70 to the north, Colorado Border to the east, Arizona and Navajo Indian Reservation to the south, Henry Mountains to the west.  We can help you coordinate resupplies according to your planned routes.

Resupplies must to be scheduled and approved in advance to ensure there are no conflicts that will interfere with the resupplies. There is also a resupply information sheet that has to be signed prior to any resupply.      

Staff Experience

Our staff’s background includes the creation and operation of an outdoor program that operated in southeastern Utah for seventeen years, Search and Rescue members of the San Juan County Utah,  Global Informational Systems professional (GIS mapping), emergency medicine,  archaeology, and wilderness survival instructor.  Over the years our staff has also assisted several different organizations, like NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School), while they were operating in southeastern Utah with resupplies and medical evacs.

Pricing $59.95 Full assistance program: As member's this program involves helping you make reservations at hotels, tour companies, and other outdoor companies in the San Juan County area of southeastern Utah.  We will help you plan out a hike, ATV, bike, or jeep route in the San Juan County based on our experience and knowledge of the area.  We can assist you in planning for a resupply or a transport to the trailhead and more. (Some of the above mentioned services come with additional fees. Minor assistance is covered by your member ship fee.)

You can purchase a high quality map that corresponds with your trip, and with the purchase of a map we can provide you with a GPX file that corresponds with your adventure.  If you are interested in this service give us a call and we will explain how we can help you. FREE - providing basic information to our OTBPMaps Mountain Man Members: This service is for those that want advice and recommendations on trails, day hikes, scenic drives, points of interest, hotels, restaurants, and to ask questions about San Juan County, UT.

With either of the above option we will answer your questions and walk you through the process so that we can fulfill your needs.

Adventure Planning 

I wanted to just give you a report on my scout troops 50 mile hike that you mapped out for us. Having the locations of water and canyons marked in the GPS was so helpful. It was also encouraging to the scouts to show them on the GPS how much farther they had to hike to the camp site. I expect to be using your service for my own personal ventures into the wilds of San Juan in the future.
